Logic Puzzle!

On an island there are 2 types of people. Diurnal and Nocturnal. It is hard for anyone to know if they are awake or asleep and diurnal or nocturnal.

Diurnal People
when they are awake, everything they believe IS true
when they are asleep, everything they believe is false

Nocturnal:
when they are awake, everything they think is false
when they are asleep, everything they think is true

A married couple on the island are the Kulps. Again, these people do not know if they r nocturnal or diurnal, but Mr. Kulp believes both are nocturnal. At the same moment, Mrs. Kulp thinks one is nocturnal and the other is diurnal. One of the Kulps is awake and the other is asleep at that moment. Which Kulp is awake? Explain with specific details
